What if I am not feeling well before or during the National Conference?
Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance staff can assist you in finding a local clinic or hospital should you need assistance. That said, please use your judgement about whether or not you are well enough to attend. If you are concerned, we strongly suggest you bring a caregiver with you to the conference so that you will have someone to help you if needed.  OCRA is not responsible for any personal harm incurred while attending the conference, nor is our staff able to stay with you in the hospital. Please see our cancellation policy for more information on registration cancellation.

Are there scholarships available?
Yes, a limited number of scholarships for travel, hotel and registration fees are available to survivors and caregivers each year. Unfortunately, OCRA cannot award scholarships outside of North America. The scholarship application will open in February 2020. Check back for details.

What should I wear to the National Conference?
You are here to learn and make connections! Dress in whatever makes you feel good. Please note, the conference rooms can get chilly so you may want to pack a sweater. And many Conference attendees wear TEAL, of course!

Are there opportunities for my company to promote a product or service or support Conference?
There are several options for your company to support the National Conference through our Sponsorship and Exhibitor opportunities. Through your support of the event, you play a key role in alerting women to the symptoms of ovarian cancer, helping researchers learn how better to screen and treat the disease, and giving power to ovarian cancer survivors’ voices on behalf of themselves and others we have lost. Together, we can work to bring awareness to ovarian cancer, increase the number of survivors in this country and ultimately save more lives. More information can be found by emailing conference@ocrahope.org or (212) 268-1002.

All other attendees are prohibited from engaging in the marketing of their products and services in all designated areas of the conference, anywhere in the host hotel or local area.

Are there opportunities for my company to host a special event in coordination with the National Conference?
Please view our sponsorship prospectus to discover opportunities for your company to support the National Conference, including the opportunity to sponsor our Teal Takeover Party.

All attendees, including sponsors and exhibitors, agree that any special events (e.g. organized social events, programs or seminars during or within two days before or after the conference dates) must be arranged in consultation with Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance and receive prior written approval. This policy applies to events hosted in designated conference areas, anywhere in the host hotel or in the local area. Each special event request will be evaluated to determine whether it complies with the policies of Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance as well as the goals of the Ovarian Cancer National Conference. Requests to host events concurrently with conference programming will be denied.
