Obesity Does Not Increase Risk for Ovarian Cancer Recurrence

Research that will be presented at the 2012 American Society of Clinical Oncology meeting June 1-5th suggests that obesity did not affect recurrence, time to recurrence, or progression-free survival in women with epithelial ovarian cancer following surgery and chemotherapy.

Previous research examining the relationship between obesity and ovarian cancer has yielded mixed results.
