108 Members of the House of Representative Support Ovarian Cancer Research Funding

Each spring, Congress takes up the task of allocating money to federal programs. And each spring, the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance works to ensure that ovarian cancer research funding remains a top priority. This year was no exception.

On Wednesday, 108 Members of the House of Representatives sent a letter to the House Appropriations Committee stating their support of full funding for the Ovarian Cancer Research Program (OCRP) within the Department of Defense. This is the largest showing of support the OCRP has ever seen!

This success is because of YOU!

A few weeks ago, we also asked you to send letters to your Representatives requesting their support for the OCRP. Nearly 1000 of you did! Last week, the Alliance hosted 25 Advocate Leaders from around the country. They went to Congress, shared their stories with their delegations, and made the case loud and clear that more investment in ovarian cancer research is needed.

It’s clear that your actions make a difference and Congress must hear your voice.

In the coming weeks, we’ll be asking you to reach out to your Senators to ask them to support ovarian cancer programs and hope that you’ll be ready to act then too!
