John W. Hansbury, Esq.

John W. Hansbury, Esq.’s late wife, the actress Madeline Kahn, died in 1999 from ovarian cancer. She felt strongly that sharing her personal struggle with ovarian cancer might raise awareness of this awful disease. John subsequently vowed to campaign for improved ovarian cancer treatment and awareness, joining the OCRA Board in 1999.

After serving as Board Chair for 10 years, he joined the Executive Committee as an Emeritus member. John is an attorney in private practice in New York City. He graduated from the Mount Hermon School, Oberlin College and received a J.D. from the Antioch School of Law in Washington, DC.
