Jackie Lang, Ph.D., is the Director of Scientific Programs at Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance (OCRA). She joined OCRA in July 2025 and plays a key role in advancing the organization’s science communication efforts, building relationships with researchers and clinicians, and leading the planning of the Ovarian Cancer Research Symposium. Prior to joining OCRA, Dr. Lang served as the Director of Scientific Programs at the Rivkin Center for Ovarian Cancer Research. In that role, she oversaw the granting program, organized annual research symposia, and maintained an up-to-date educational curriculum on breast and ovarian cancer.
Dr. Lang earned her Ph.D. in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Washington, conducting her doctoral research at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle. During graduate school, she co-chaired Hutch United, a grassroots diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) organization dedicated to supporting underrepresented researchers at Fred Hutch. Through Hutch United, she helped develop DEI initiatives, a mentoring network, and a grant program for underrepresented trainees. Before graduate school, Dr. Lang received a Bachelor of Science in Genetics from the University of California, Davis, and subsequently worked in a research laboratory at the University of California, Santa Cruz.
