Liza Lundgren, LCSW
Director, Education
Liza Lundgren, LCSW, is OCRA’s Director, Education. Liza joined the OCRA team in July 2025. Before joining OCRA, Liza worked as an Oncology Social Worker at Mount Sinai’s Chelsea Cancer Center. As the social worker on multiple interdisciplinary teams, she helped to support patients and caregivers of multiple diagnoses to find and use helpful resources, advocate for themselves, and better understand and process their own cancer journey. She is passionate about helping patients be seen as themselves not just as a patient. Liza facilitated multiple support groups while at Mount Sinai for young adults, newly diagnosed patients, and patients looking for community throughout their journey. Additionally, Liza planned numerous events for patients to learn more about their diagnosis, the latest in treatment options, and ways to cope. Prior to her formal social work journey, Liza worked at the Ronald McDonald House of the Intermountain Area in Salt Lake City where she was the volunteer manager where she managed many volunteers and created programming to provide support and needed distraction for pediatric patients, caregivers, and siblings.
Liza obtained her MSW Degree from New York University’s Silver School of Social Work in 2020 and was a fellow of the Zelda Foster Fellowship in Palliative and End-of-Life Care.
