Ann Kolker

Ann Kolker

Ann Kolker was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 1996. Ann also happened to be a political powerhouse for women’s rights in both healthcare and in the workplace. Ann would not take her diagnosis lightly and joined together with 13 other ovarian cancer survivors in Washington DC to found the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance. Ann worked as Executive Director for many years, before handing the wheel over. Ann never stopped advocating for women with ovarian cancer and after a long, courageous battle, she passed away on February 3, 2016. Ann fought her cancer for 20 years! We cannot thank her enough for the vision and passion that she used to grow OCNA in to the organization that you know today.
