Anniina Farkkila, MD, PhD

Anniina Färkkilä MD PhD is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Helsinki University, Finland. She is also finishing her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Helsinki University Hospital. Anniina earned her MD, and completed her PhD on translational ovarian cancer research from the Helsinki University. She will join the laboratory of Dr. Alan D’Andrea at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute as a postdoctoral fellow in 2017. Her projects will focus on the development of patient-derived functional assays of DNA repair and PARP inhibitor resistance, with the ultimate goal of bridging the gap between basic science and clinical patient care.
