I am currently a postdoctoral associate of the Gene Expression and Regulation Program at the Wistar Institute, in Dr. Rugang Zhang’s laboratory. I got my B.S. degree in biotechnology from Anhui Medical University and completed my Ph.D. in genetics at Fudan University in China in 2013. My Ph.D. research focused on identifying natural compounds capable of circumventing multidrug resistance in cancer chemotherapy. My current research interests are focusing on understanding epigenetic alterations in tumor development and chemotherapeutic response in ovarian cancer. In my current research, I aimed to identify novel strategies to overcome chemoresistance and delay tumor recurrence by targeting cancer stem cells (CSCs) in ovarian cancer.
