Yang Yang, PhD

Dr. Yang Yang is a postdoctoral research associate at the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences, Yale School of Medicine. She obtained her bachelor degree in 2003 at the College of Life Science, Nankai University, China and her doctoral degree in 2009 from a joint program supported by Nankai Univerisity and University of Southern California. Her doctoral research fell into two topics: the transcriptional regulation of embryonic stem cells self-renewal and differentiation and the cell-based high-throughput drug discovery. She expanded her research area to the translational research of ovarian cancer and cancer stem cell at Yale School of Medicine. She has authored 16 scientific publications and received the National Award for Outstanding Undergraduate Students in 2003 and the National Study Aboard Award for Ph.D Candidates in 2009.
