Harper’s Bazaar has published a powerful new piece by Chris Tilberis, who serves on OCRA’s Board of Directors, reflecting on his mother Liz Tilberis’ remarkable career as the former editor-in-chief of Harper’s Bazaar, president of OCRA and her legacy in the fight against ovarian cancer.

“I think she felt that talking about things—even very difficult things, like an illness—helped give other people the space to talk about them. It was also a way of letting those people know that whatever they were going through, they weren’t going through it alone,” says Chris Tilberis.

Liz Tilberis’s commitment to raising awareness, supporting patients, and ultimately finding a cure for ovarian cancer continues to inspire the mission of OCRA today.

Read Chris’s heartfelt tribute, and learn more about Liz’s legacy, in the full article, “My Mother’s Work at Harper’s Bazaar Was About Much More Than Fashion,” as told to editor at large Stephen Mooallem and published on September 4, 2024.
