Federal Update

As of this writing, Congress has failed to come to an agreement on funding for the current fiscal year and the federal government is in a shutdown. We are closely monitoring the impact that the shutdown is having on the patient community and are continuing to meet with Members of Congress whenever possible. We will continue to urge Congress and the Administration to fully fund the critical research and awareness programs that support our community.

Advocate Leaders Driving Awareness Nationwide

September was Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, and our Advocate Leaders were hard at work making sure this cause is recognized in communities across the country. From statehouse resolutions to local proclamations, their advocacy is shining a spotlight on ovarian cancer and the need for greater investment in research, prevention, and care.

Our Advocate Leaders united with their elected officials and more than 120 proclamations were issued in September to raise ovarian and gynecologic cancer awareness. We celebrate the incredible work our advocates are doing to bring visibility to ovarian cancer at every level of government!
