OCRA’s Sarah DeFeo Receives Andrew Godwin Award for Excellence in Community Outreach

We are pleased to announce that OCRA’s Chief Program Officer, Sarah DeFeo, has been awarded the inaugural Andrew Godwin Award for Excellence in Community Outreach. 

Presented by Ovarian Cancer Midwest Focus (OCMF) at University of Minnesota Medical School, the award recognizes DeFeo as an outstanding member in the gynecologic cancer community for her work leading OCRA’s grantmaking, programmatic, and educational initiatives including OCRA’s Woman to Woman Peer Mentor Program, Survivors Teaching Students educational program, National Conference, and more. The award also recognizes OCRA’s role as a vital supporter of ovarian cancer research through its scientific initiatives, and the important role it plays in advocating for federal research funds.
