We need your help this September.

Ovarian cancer is the fifth leading cause of cancer death among women, and is the deadliest of gynecologic cancers. #ResearchMatters. Research is the key to defeating this devastating disease. That’s why every day, OCRFA-funded scientists are working to find new ways to prevent ovarian cancer, developing better methods to treat it, and pioneering pathways to cure it.

Dr. Ellen Cheon is an Assistant Professor at Albany Medical College. In 2014, she received a $75,000 Ann and Sol Schreiber Mentored Investigator Award from OCRFA which helped launch her career as an independent investigator in the ovarian cancer field. Her lab is currently conducting research on chemotherapy-resistance – a major issue in ovarian cancer treatment.

A $75,000 grant from OCRFA encourages a promising researcher to launch a career dedicated to ending ovarian cancer. In honor of this important month, please help us raise $75,000 so another brilliant young scientist can uncover the next ovarian cancer breakthrough.
