Dr. Farr Nezhat is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and very active in the research and instruction of new and innovative surgical techniques in the field. Along with his brothers, he has taught literally thousands of other physicians the techniques that have been developed in their practice. He is currently a Clinical Professor of Gynecologic Oncology, Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York, New York.

Dr. Nezhat is a pioneering leader in applying minimal access surgery to pelvic gynecologic pathologies. He is nationally and internationally known for his research, teaching, and clinical contributions to the field of gynecologic and pelvic surgery.
In addition to authoring more than 100 scientific articles and over 40 book chapters, Dr. Nezhat is co-author of two textbooks that detail his techniques. He serves on the Editorial Board of Journal of the Society of Laparoendoscsopic Surgeons and is the past President of the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons for year 2002.

Dr. Nezhat is currently a full time faculty member of the Division of Gynecologic Oncology and Director of Gynecologic Minimally Invasive Surgery at Mount Sinai School
