Advancing equity in cancer clinical trials by addressing precarity in study design
2025 Health Equity Research Grant
The Regents of the University of New Mexico
Project Summary
We seek to promote equitable access to clinical trials in gynecologic oncology through developing a comprehensive understanding of patient and institutional factors contributing to decisions regarding trial participation. This study will integrate perspectives from diverse stakeholders, including patients, providers, and ancillary staff, with ethnographic data collected at multiple academic and community sites across two states. Ultimately, we intend to incorporate novel clinical trial designs into a multicenter collaboration to facilitate access to and acceptability of cancer clinical trials for all gynecologic oncology patients.
