The National Comprehensive Care Network has released updated guidelines for patients with ovarian cancer.
The “NCCN Guidelines for Patients®: Ovarian Cancer” is a high-quality resource for patients and caregivers in the process of treatment planning. The 2013 version been updated to reflect the content of the 2013 Version of the NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology for Ovarian Cancer (which are treatment guidelines developed for clinicians). They include NCCN’s most recent treatment recommendations for each stage of epithelial ovarian cancer, as well as borderline ovarian cancer (low malignant potential tumor).
The NCCN Guidelines for Patients®: Ovarian Cancer include descriptions of recommended tests and treatments, as well as definitions of medical terms. This resource also includes medical illustrations of anatomy, tests, and treatments that may help patients to better understand the cancer and treatment process.
