Hoofbeats for Hope

Hoofbeats to Hope is a dressage musical freestyle horse show and silent auction that started in 2011 to spread awareness in the equestrian community about the early signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer, and to further research for treatment and early detection. Hoofbeats to Hope dedicates their efforts to Marikae Kinross-Wright. Hoofbeats to Hope is held every year in the summer months in Manassas, Virginia. Over the past 4 years, they have raised over $23,000 for the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance. Other accomplishments include:  Passed out over 500 symptom cards in the equestrian community educating women about the early symptoms of ovarian cancer; Sponsored 3 schooling shows and stuffed rider packets with statistical information about ovarian cancer and encouraged women to “listen” to their bodies and ask their doctors questions.
