Dr. Benjamin Bitler is an Associate Professor in the Department of OB-GYN at the University of Colorado. After receiving his PhD in Cancer Biology from the University of Arizona, he completed post-doctoral fellowships at Fox Chase Cancer Center and The Wistar Institute. For the last 15 years, Dr. Bitler’s research has focused on gynecologic cancers. He holds the Kay L. and Thomas Dunton Endowed Chair for Ovarian Cancer Research and is the research site director for the Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship. Dr. Bitlerprioritizes collaboration across disciplines, as there is tremendous potential when research questions are addressed from various perspectives and expertise. His current research program is focused on defining novel early ovarian cancer detection biomarkers, developing strategies for overcoming therapy resistance, and better understanding ovarian cancer etiology.
