Manager, Policy

Jahnessa Ryea is OCRA’s Manager, Policy. She joined the organization in June 2026 and supports its Policy and Advocacy efforts with a focus on federal legislation and regulations.

Prior to joining OCRA, Jahnessa worked as a legislative staffer for Senator Peter Welch, supporting his health, education, and labor policy portfolios.

Jahnessa earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Vermont and is currently pursuing her Master of Public Health, with a concentration in women, youth, and child health, from the George Washington University’s Milken Institute School of Public Health.
