A Day to Remember at Seward Park
On July 13, 2025, more than 900 people gathered at Seward Park in Seattle for the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance (OCRA) Rivkin Family SummeRun. Survivors, families, friends, and supporters walked and ran together in support of much-needed ovarian cancer research, raising over $320,000 to help fund the next round of Rivkin Pilot Grants—high-impact studies with the potential to drive major breakthroughs.
Thank you to everyone who showed up, gave generously, shared the cause, or cheered from afar. Your support made this day one of connection, remembrance, and forward momentum.
From the opening remarks and survivor celebration, to the heartfelt team tributes, the morning was filled with energy and emotion. Dr. Saul Rivkin and his daughters, including OCRA Board Member Melissa Rivkin, welcomed participants and reflected on the event’s legacy and ongoing impact.
Whether you joined us for your first SummeRun or your fifteenth, your presence mattered.
Below, you’ll find just a few moments captured on camera—smiles, hugs, finish-line celebrations, and glimpses of a community united in commitment to end ovarian cancer.

About the OCRA Rivkin Family SummeRun
The Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance (OCRA) Rivkin Family SummeRun was started by Dr. Saul Rivkin, founder of the Rivkin Center for Ovarian Cancer Research, and his five daughters, after the loss of his wife and the girls’ mother, Marsha Rivkin. The Rivkin Center is now part of OCRA, where Melissa Rivkin is a member of OCRA’s Board of Directors. We’re proud to continue this beloved event, which has become one of the largest private funders of ovarian cancer research in the country.
