Planned Giving

The Teal Trust

The Teal Trust is an OCRA giving option to bequeath a lasting legacy towards funding future ovarian cancer research and support programs.

OCRA funds crucial research today but we need to ensure that the funding continues well into the future, until the disease is one day eradicated. Including OCRA in your estate planning is an easy way to make a substantial lasting commitment, ensuring that your legacy lives on.

Your lawyer or financial advisor can assist with either creating or adjusting your estate plans.

Since we cannot predict future medical advances or the future of our patient support programs, we recommend that your bequest be designated for unrestricted purposes or be directed to general research.

Suggested language might include:

“I give, devise and bequeath [the sum of ____ dollars], [all or ____ percent of the rest, remainder and residue of my estate of every kind and description (including lapsed legacies and devises)] to Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance, 14 Pennsylvania Plaza, Suite 2110, New York, New York, 10122, EIN 13-3806788 for its general purposes.”

Need help creating an estate plan? We’ve partnered with FreeWill: a free online resource that guides you through the process of making or updating a legally valid will and including a gift to OCRA in just 20 minutes. This is an easy way to advocate for patients and support survivors for years to come

If you have an IRA, 401(k), life-insurance policy, or any other assets not included in your will, you must plan your beneficiaries for them separately. You can use this secure online tool to help you make your plans and even designate OCRA as a beneficiary of these kinds of assets.

Already made a gift to OCRA in your estate plan? Please fill out this form to let us know so we could say thank you and update our records!
