We need your help to strengthen critical gynecologic cancer education and awareness programs.

OCRA Action Alert(October 16, 2019) Recently, Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D-CT)—leader of the Congressional Ovarian Cancer Caucus and an ovarian cancer survivor herself—introduced HR 4560, legislation to reauthorize Johanna’s Law, also known as The Gynecologic Cancer Education and Awareness Act.

Johanna’s Law supports a variety of programs and activities at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to increase awareness of symptoms and risk factors of gynecologic cancers and reduce rates of late-stage diagnosis. Since it was first enacted over a decade ago, Johanna’s Law has brought awareness and education to millions of women across the country and saved countless lives in the process.

HR 4560 will reauthorize Johanna’s Law so that CDC can continue its valuable work around gynecologic cancers – but this legislation will not become law without a strong showing of support from our community. Please: Ask your Representative to cosponsor this legislation now.

OCRA applauds Rep. DeLauro for leading reauthorization efforts for Johanna’s Law.

We proudly endorse HR 4560, and call on Congress to swiftly pass this critical legislation.

But we can’t do this alone. Please—do your part to ensure this legislation crosses the finish line by asking your Representative to become a cosponsor of HR 4560.
