(March 19, 2019) Congress is considering a $15 million increase for OCRP funding. Urge YOUR Representative to sign the letter to help push this funding through. Deadline is March 25th!
Tell Congress to Increase OCRP Funding
The Ovarian Cancer Research Program (OCRP) is a cutting-edge program housed within the Department of Defense and despite a history of successful breakthroughs, the program is drastically underfunded. In fact, more than 85 percent of the most promising research applications, that scored “Outstanding and Excellent,” go unfunded due to budget constraints. We are therefore urging Congress to increase funding for the OCRP by $15 million.
Here’s where we need YOUR help.
As of today, 85 Members of Congress have added their names to a “Dear Colleague” letter being circulated by Representatives Rosa DeLauro and Sean Duffy. This letter urges the House Appropriations Defense Subcommittee to set OCRP funding at $35 million, a $15 million increase. We want EVERY U.S. House Member to sign this letter and there are only six days left – the deadline to join this letter is Monday, March 25!
