Frieda Weeks, OCRA Supporter & Ovarian Cancer Activist, Recognized for Achievements

Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance congratulates Frieda Weeks, a founding member of Hope for Heather and an OCRA Advocate Leader, on winning NewsChannel 9 WSYR’s Remarkable Women of Central New York contest.

Frieda was recognized for her steadfast dedication to increasing ovarian cancer awareness and raising funds for research focused on this disease. In an interview with anchor Christie Casciano Burns on Bridge Street on NewsChannel 9, Frieda talks about the importance of understanding ovarian cancer risk factors, prevention tools, and advocating for yourself.

Hope for Heather is an OCRA Community Partner, and to date has donated more than $700,000 to OCRA.
