Actress and comedian Jackie Tohn, known for playing Esther Roklov on Netflix’s Nobody Wants This, and a fan favorite from American Idol and GLOW, stepped into the hot seat on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire hosted by Jimmy Kimmel to play on behalf of Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance (OCRA). Tohn played on a team with her Nobody Wants This co-star, Timothy Simons, who raised money in support of Silver Lake Children’s Theatre Group.

Earlier this year, Tohn shared her decision to undergo a preventive double mastectomy,  as well as a preventive oophorectomy, after testing positive for a BRCA1 genetic mutation.

In a May 2026 interview with People, she said, “I found out I was BRCA1 positive, and then I met a genetic counselor who informed me that I had an 85% chance of getting breast cancer and a 65% chance of developing ovarian cancer … I believe hereditary cancer testing saved my life.“

She has since become a vocal advocate for hereditary cancer screening, encouraging others, especially those with a family history, to learn their risk.

Tohn’s win will directly fund OCRA’s research, advocacy, and support programs for patients and loved ones impacted by gynecologic cancer.
