Apply today to join survivors, caregivers and activists from across the country using their voices to affect change for those touched by ovarian cancer.
As an Advocate Leader, you’ll learn how to educate federal and state policymakers about the disease, protect funding for life-saving research, and fight for expanded access to treatment and care. No legislative or advocacy experience is necessary to apply – just a willingness to learn and, most importantly, to speak up on behalf of the patients and families who need it.

Advocacy in Action
This year, OCRA advocates worked to make sure that the needs of the ovarian cancer community were taken into account as our nation battles the continuing pandemic.
Advocate leaders helped shepherd the introduction of new legislation to reauthorize Johanna’s Law, the Gynecologic Cancer Education and Awareness Act. When passed, the bill will dramatically increase funding for the program and help address disparities in our health care system. The federal government responded to our advocacy efforts by spending a record amount on ovarian cancer research and awareness programs in 2020.
