Chef Elle Simone Scott, dedicated board member of Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance (OCRA) and renowned figure in the culinary world through America’s Test Kitchen and more, is raising crucial awareness about ovarian cancer, as shared in a San Francisco Bay Times article “Coming Out for Women’s Health”.
Diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2016, Elle is using her platform as she releases a new book, “Food Gifts” to advocate for women to stay informed and proactive against the disease, noting the particular importance of getting the word out to women of color.
