A Thanksgiving Message from Audra Moran, President & CEO

Dear Friends,

I hope this finds you all well, staying safe, and enjoying preparations for a lovely holiday. Whether you’re gathering with loved ones or holding them in your heart as you celebrate, I wish you warmth and joy.

With the busy holiday season just around the corner, I’m grateful for this moment to reflect on our strong and supportive community, and all we are accomplishing together.

Every day, you show us just how committed you are to creating a world where ovarian cancer is curable. And thanks to you, there is so much hope for the future.

There is hope, because of people like Bridget Toomey. After losing her mom to ovarian cancer, she reached out to OCRA to learn how she could help other patients and families grappling with this devastating disease.

Now, Bridget shares her experience with the next generation of healthcare professionals, helping put a face to those touched by ovarian cancer as part of our Survivors Teaching Students program.

This September, as an Advocate Leader, she advocated for her county to recognize Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, putting the spotlight on this underfunded disease and the need for better treatments and a cure.

We’re grateful for Bridget — and we’re grateful for each and every one of you.

For supporting research that can lead to the next lifesaving, life-changing breakthrough in prevention and treatment.

For lending your voice to advocate for policies that help those impacted by this disease.

For knowing that every person can make a difference in our fight for a better future, and for doing what you can to help us get there. Thank you for being a part of our family.

On behalf of the entire OCRA team, our warmest wishes for a happy Thanksgiving and holiday season,

Audra L. Moran

President & CEO, OCRA

P.S. We’re looking forward to a special #GivingTuesday campaign next week, and would love for you to join us. Just post a few words on social media, and a generous supporter will donate $50—up to $25,000. And, you can always make your year-end gift today, and help support the research that brings us closer to a cure.
