Fast-casual restaurant Newk’s Eatery is going teal! In honor of Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, and inspired by Newk’s Cares co-founder and ovarian cancer survivor Lori Newcomb, Newk’s is swapping out their signature black cups with teal, and has permanently replaced their traditional red straws with teal straws. As part of their commitment beginning in September 2015, Newk’s will continue to donate 10 cents from the sale of every Newk’s Cares bottled water at all of their over 100 locations to OCRFA.
And on September 29th, Newk’s returns as Presenting Sponsor for OCRFA’sOvarian Cycle Jackson event, taking place at The Club at the Township of Jackson, Mississippi. Last year’s event raised more than $120,000 for OCRFA. #30DaysofTeal
